Wedding Singer

I am officially a wedding singer!

Last night, out of the blue, an obscure classmate of mine called me.

"Hello?"
"Hi, Lars...this is Sara O."
"Ok...well, Hi Sara!"

We then go on to talk about how she is getting married March 19th of this year and would like it if my sister and I could sing "The Prayer" at her wedding. She loves the song and was talking to her friend and her cousin about singing it and they said it was too hard of a song and the range was bad for them (it goes from pretty low to very high for both tenor and soprano) and so she went to talk to our church pianist about having someone sing it and she said:

"Well, if you're going to have that song sung you have to have Lars and Jena do it. They have done it in church before and it was very good. I heard someone else sing it once and they just were not good. It's such a beautiful song and no one else but Lars and Jena can do it."

Well! Some of that is not true. I don't think it's that hard of a song, except the range, and lots of other people but Jena and I can sing it. But, we go to that church, Emily (the church pianst) accompanied for us and Sara and I graduated high school together and all. I worked for her dad for a summer as well. So, I guess it made sense to ask us!

Hopefully I can bounce back from this damn cold real soon and be ready for that wedding.

This will be the first wedding I've ever sung in, can you believe that?! I wanted to sing at my own, but dind't think of that in time.

I have one friend who keeps getting engaged to different girls, but says he's getting married to this one in 2006 and wants me to be in the wedding and sing. And then V's sister and her fiance are getting married in 2006 and want me to sing. And, now that I remember, if my other sister every marries her fiance, long story, she wants Jena and I to sing in her wedding. So lots of hopefuls, but this one is actually going to happen...oooh I don't like the pressure!!

Oh, oh, and to top it all off, 3/4 of the song is sung in Italian and she's marrying and Italian, so they'll probably know whether we're singing the damn words right or not! LOL
